These terms govern your use of Langladder, the web app and browser extension that rewrites webpages into your target language at your chosen level. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Langladder sends text from pages you choose to translate, and words you look up, to an AI model that produces a rewrite or definition. You can save words to review later using spaced repetition. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 13 years old to use Langladder.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to break the law or infringe others’ rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or circumvent rate limits or other protections.
• Probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the service except as the law allows.
• Use Langladder to process content you have no right to access or submit.

AI-generated content

Translations and definitions are produced by an automated language model. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and they are provided for language-learning purposes only. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other important decisions. Always confirm meaning against an authoritative source when it matters.

Third-party content

Langladder rewrites pages published by others. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for that underlying content, and rewriting a page does not grant you any rights in it. Your use of any website remains subject to that website’s own terms.

Ownership

Langladder and its software, design, and trademarks belong to us. The words and notes you save remain yours; you grant us only the permission needed to store and display them back to you as part of the service.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Langladder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using Langladder and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the service or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
